Van'Ahh White's Kittens
Greetings All!
Great news! We are in the process of adding new, baby kittens to the family. Van'Ahh White is having her first litter and is like a pro! Her first kitten looks to be red or red&white. Flower (Van'Ahh's mother) is right there with her and checking on the new baby too. Wisteria (Van'Ahh's sister) just hopped in to say hi and went back to watching the older kittens and trying to keep them in line.
Charlie Buckets is being a ham tonight. Slip sliding across the dining room floor while his 2 siblings were watching from the top of a perch.
Foxy wanted to be close and was frustrated when he could not get into the nursery. He finally figured out if he laid down he was able to watch and was not too far away, so he is now content and snoozing. Popeye is in the toy basket making as much noise as he can muster and Cutie Pie is stalking him!

Sioux Falls, SD
Linda and I were in Sioux Falls this past weekend for another cat show. This was the national convention. Meetings and seminars were going on all week and the Inter-American Awards banquet was Friday Night. We did not go to the banquet-we did not get there until late. Our show season runs May through April. For the 2007-2008 season Coul was the best longhair exotic kitten and cat in the nation (Inter-American.)
The show was huge by recent standards. About 150 cats/kittens, etc. All of the divisions were fairly evenly spaced also! 39 cats, 37 alters, 39 kittens and about 35 household pets. Both days of the show were extremely long! We did not leave the show hall either day before 7:30pm. (we usually get out of shows between 4& 5:30pm). Competiton was fierce. Coul made one final, but Linda's Elanore got 6 finals! Lindas also adopted the cutest pure white kitten with copper eyes. She is just 4 months and is sooooo sweet! We think she will do good and have fun at the shows.
Van'Ahh is due within the week. It is her first litter, so I am not sure how long she will be 61-65 days? I am keeping a close eye on her and she is with Flower. Flower has been a mother several times before and is very helpful and will probably help.

Good evening!
This past weekend was great. Linda Bruestle and myself went to a show. It was also the regional awards banquet. Linda had the 13th & 16th best kittens in the region.
Coul Train was showed and finaled 3 times...more points towards his Triple grand title. Linda's girl Elenore finaled 5 times and is a grand now!!!!
The banquet was great! Being able to talk with people we have known for years, but have not had a full conversation with because we get intrupted getting our cats up to the show ring. It was really nice having a relaxing evening with nice people.

Happy Monday All!
This past weekend I was invited to Hastings Little Log House Days! Boy was that fun! LeighAnn and Kevin invited me. Kevin was exhibiting one of his tractors at the show. (I think a BW.) We watched a Tractor and a Truck Pull. Kevins parents were also there and are so nice! Of course I had to show Nancy my website to show off these cuties. She had not seen a shorthair before. Kayla had a great time and so did Johathon. LeighAnn and I walked around the grounds with them for awhile and they both got their faces painted and made their own jump rope! Those lucky kids!
Turbo (LeighAnn's cat) talked to me a lot like he normally does. He has a lot to say too:) He is a black and white DSH (domestic short hair) and king of the house.
When I got home everyone was happy to see me and I had to spend lots of time with the kittens:) They are in their fun stage now.

Greetings!
Flower's babies are playing with each other and are trying to run and failing and falling:)
Wisteria's babies have their legs and are traveling all over. If I have a gap in their nursery wall, they find it and out they all go and then cry for attention and/or mom.
Van'ahh White is pregnant. If I am counting correctly, she will be due August 27th, 2008. She sleeping more than normal and does not participate as much in the play time.
We had our first tornado drill last week. That was interesting and scarry! Everybody did get down stairs, but it took some work and stradigy. The cats and kittens must have known something was not correct because they were all quiet while we were down stairs, just a lot of big eyes looking out. Jet had a good time though, she went down immediately, so was loose down there-she had a treasure hunt including many spider webs on her wiskers:)
Wishing all well!
